Some things I’ve come to believe:
- Venture capital is a unique game where you only need to be right 10% of the time. But you really need to be right.
- Capital is abundant and undifferentiated. Capital allocators win on access, value-add, and brand.
- Markets are rational 80% of the time. Booms, busts, and bubbles exist in the other 20%.
- Everything is sales.
- AI has made information a commodity. Curation, iteration, and interpretation provide an edge.
- Personal agency will always be in vogue. You really can just do/build things.
- Leading with kindness, being generous with your time, and genuinely helping people go a long way.
- Access to education is one of the highest forms of leverage.
